Matrimonial & Family Law Clifford J. Petroske, Esq. Born and raised on Long Island, Clifford J. Petroske graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1986, and thereafter attended Hofstra University School of Law. At Hofstra he was the editor of the Hofstra Environmental Law Digest. Upon graduation from Hofstra, Mr. Petroske was admitted to the New York Bar in January 1990, and to the New Jersey Bar in December 1989. He became associated with the firm of Reisch, Simoni, Bythewood & Gleason in Garden City, New York, until leaving in 1992 to start his own practice. For more than eighteen years, Mr. Petroske has practiced primarily family and matrimonial law. Fast-changing legislation and case law developments have made practicing in this field particularly challenging, especially in light of the uniquely personal circumstances each case presents. With a background in bankruptcy law, criminal law, real estate and corporate law, Mr. Petroske brings a wealth of experience to the multi-faceted issues in divorce litigation, while remaining committed to each client as an individual. Mr. Petroske is a member of the New York State Bar Association Family Law Committee, as well as the Suffolk County Bar Association Matrimonial Law and Family Courts Committee. In 2004, he lectured at the Suffolk County Bar Association for a Suffolk Academy of Law program.
